Acupuncture

Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese herbal medicine are prescribed based on consultation of your health condition. We offer raw herbs (for herbal soup), individualised granule herbal formula, and patterned herbal formula to suit different needs.
Moxibustion (Moxa)
Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese medicine therapy which consists burning of dried and processed mugwort punk either indirectly, on top of acupuncture needles, or directly on the skin.
It can be used to treat a wide variety of conditions such as musculoskeletal pain, period pain, anxiety… and more.
Cupping
Cupping is using fire to burn off the oxygen inside glass cups to create negative suction before placing on the skin.
It feels like a giant octopus sucking on your back and may feel slight ache, pulling or tingling sensation and not painful at all. The purpose is to gently pull the muscle fibre apart to increase blood flow, loosen muscle tension and brings toxin to the surface for the body to metabolise. It may leave a bruise like circular mark which might take 3-10 days to disappear.
When it’s performed by a trained professional, it’s a very safe and relaxing process.
Gua Sha (Scraping)
Gua sha is a technique involves applying massage oil and scraping your skin, along muscle fibre, with a smooth edge tool. It aims to stimulate microcirculation, release myofascial/ muscle tension and reduce inflammation to promote healing.
This could help relieving acute/chronic pain, stiffness and support recovery of cold & flu.
Auricular Therapy (Ear Acupuncture)
Similar to reflexology of the foot, ear is also a micro-system of the body that can be used to promote healing and rebalance the body.
There are several different techniques used in ear acupuncture, including the insertion of acupuncture needles, acupressure, and stick on ear seeds, depending on the specific condition being treated.
Ear acupuncture can be used to treat a wide range of health conditions, including pain, stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, addiction…. and more.
Paediatric (Children) Acupuncture
Kids are not just mini adults, they need different care and treatment approach to achieve optimal outcome. In recent time, there is a growing amount of evidenced-based clinical research to support the effectiveness of acupuncture in the treatment of a wide-range of childhood conditions.
The diagnostic and treatment for kids have adapted over the years to be well-tolerated and effective. There are multiple modalities can be utilised in the treatment to meet your child’s need, such as acupressure, kids massage, stick on needle/ seeds, auricular (ear) therapy.
